Enjoy the Perfect Family Day Out in Donegal’s Oakfield Park

We’re looking forward to welcoming lots of visitors to Oakfield Park for our first weekend of the 2018 season. Whether you’re a regular visitor to the park or happen to be exploring Donegal for the first time this Easter, Oakfield Park is a must-visit for anyone looking for the perfect family day out in Donegal.

There’s so much to see and do in Oakfield Park including walled gardens, ponds, lakes, a lakeside Nymphaeum, a hedge maze, heritage trees and sculptures. Children can make a wish at Oakfield Park’s Faerie tree, while navigating their way through extensive walks and trails.

Our crowning glory is a 4.5km narrow gauge railway with a diesel and steam train operating passenger trips daily. This is a magical way to explore the park’s gardens as the train passes through flower meadows, beautiful woodlands, willow tunnels, oak circles, boardwalks, heritage trees, a wooden causeway and sparkling streams and lakes.

Join us this weekend to experience Easter Magic at Oakfield Park on Saturday, 31st March, Sunday, 1st and Monday, 2nd April from 12pm – 6pm daily. Families can expect lots of Easter fun, with chocolate treats, face painting and the chance to meet the Oakfield Park Easter bunny. Children can also enjoy exploring the beautiful grounds of Oakfield Park on an Easter Egg Hunt, while the Oakfield Park trains will also be in full steam all weekend.

Entry to Easter Magic at Oakfield Park is €8 for adults, €5 for children and under 3’s go free. For more information call 074 9173068.
