Oakfield Park is open from now until 1st October, 2017.
Gardens open Wednesday to Sunday plus Bank Holiday’s during April, May, and September. Gates open 12 to 6pm each day.
Gardens open 7 days a week during June, July and August. Gates open 11am to 6pm each day.
The gardens will be open on Bank Holidays (R.O.I and N. I.) 1st May, 29th May.
Trains run at regular intervals between 12 and 6pm each day. Check times on arrival.
The Steam Engine ‘Duchess of Difflin’ runs on the last Sunday of each month ‘Steam Sunday’.


Buffers Garden Restaurant is open for visitors, serving a selection of delicious light meals, hot and cold snacks and home baked goodies.
Buffers will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings, serving a seasonal menu using fresh garden produce from Oakfield’s own kitchen gardens.
Sip a cocktail on the train for a sunset tour of the gardens and we’ll have your starter on track for when you return.

Group Visits and tours are available by prior arrangement for 10+ people. Group rates available.

Car parking available. Toilet facilities with Baby Changing unit provided.  Picnic Tables and Swings are available.
There is partial access for wheelchairs. We have a train carriage suitable for wheelchairs.  The main roadways and many of the paths through gardens are accessible by wheelchair.

The house is not open to the public at any time.
Wedding photos are accommodated when pre-booked with the Estate Manager.  A fee applies. We do not host wedding ceremonies.
Dogs on a lead are permitted but please lift droppings from paths and lawns.  Cycling, Ball Games, BBQ’s and flying Drones is not permitted in the gardens.

·     Head out of Raphoe, on William Street towards Derry / Strabane (R236).
·     Turn first right onto Lifford Road, R264 before the Mart. (Signposted)

·     Proceed for approx. 1.1km. Carpark on the right after gatehouse.

·     Take N14 from Letterkenny towards Lifford & Strabane for approx.16km.
·     Pass the turning for Raphoe (R236) (Signposted)
·     Take next right at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield Park.
·     Proceed for approx. 1.7km. Carpark on the Left.

Directions from Strabane & Lifford;
·     Take N14 from Lifford towards Letterkenny for approx. 8km,
·     Take left turn at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield Park.
·     Proceed for approx. 1.7km. Carpark on the Left.

Directions from Derry; (via Bridgend & Burt)
• Take N13 towards Letterkenny via Bridgend & Burt.
• At the Manorcunningham roundabout take the first exit onto the N14 towards Lifford & Strabane.
• Pass the turning for Raphoe (R236)
• Take next right at Drumbeg (L2374) signposted for Oakfield.

• Take A40 & R236 via Carrigans & St. Johnston heading for Raphoe.
• At the N14 turn left towards Lifford & Strabane.
